The Atlantic 10 Conference announced the 2006 Football Academic All-Conference Team recently and 12 members from the University of New Hampshire football team were honored, half of them seniors.

Wide receiver Evan Loring, tight end Sean Lynch, defensive back Corey Graham, punter Matt Henry, defensive back Terrell Lewis and defensive back A.J. Snook led the senior class.

Members from the junior class included offensive lineman Johan Asker and defensive end Matt Perdoni. In the sophomore class, punter/kicker Tom Bishop, defensive back Maurice Duper, linebacker Matt Parent and offensive lineman Dan Larkin were recognized.

In all, 94 student-athletes were named Academic All-Conference, and the squad was split equally between the offensive and defensive sides of the football.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, and be a starter or key reserve. All voting is conducted by the Atlantic 10 Football Conference's sports information directors.

These 12 student-athletes helped lead the UNH football team to a successful 9-4 mark and a trip to the NCAA quarterfinals for a third consecutive year in 2006.
