Samsung Galaxy J5 2016 and Sony Xperia X Compact are currently some of the most compared flagship handsets available on the market at this moment. Sony Xperia X Compact has been announced at the IFA 2016, while the J5 recently got the Android Nougat update. But let’s see a brief comparison of the two.

The J5 is definitely denser, taller and slimmer if you compare it to the Sony Xperia X Compact. Galaxy J5 lets you choose between several options: Stylish White, Universe Black, Mist Blue and Ceramic, while Sony offers Black, White, Gold and Rose Gold.

Samsung offers a bigger screen, more precisely a 5.2-inches display with an AMOLED screen, while Sony Xperia X Compact has a 4.6-inches IPS LCD one. However, Sony has a bigger ppi than the Samsung device, even if they both have the same 1280×720 resolution.

When it comes to processors, Samsung Galaxy J5 doesn’t bring users too much since it’s powered by a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset. It also has 2 GB RAM and it runs on an Adreno 306 graphics card. At the same time, Sony Xperia X Compact works on a Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 processor, with 3 GB RAM and an Adreno 510.

Moreover, Galaxy J5 has a 5 MP camera on the front and a 13 MP one on the back that includes autofocus, LED flash, geotagging and face detection. Meanwhile, Sony Xperia X Compact brings a 5 MP front camera and an astounding 23 MP back one. This feature has completely shocked its fans, especially since people think Sony is not that great at making phones. It also comes with touch focus, face detection, panormala, HDR option, phase-detection autofocus and, of course, LED flash.

All in all, both handsets are awesome, it just depends on your personal taste which one would suit your needs best.
