Wildcat Notes: Men's Cross Country wins Invitational

Sophomore Wesley Dinnan finished in fifth place to lead the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team to a first-place finish at the Stony Brook Cross Country Invitational on Friday.
The Wildcats placed five runners in the top 10 to beat out four other teams, including the University at Albany, Stony Brook University, Wagner College and Hartford College, to grab their first dual-meet win of the year.
Dinnan's time of 18:07.68 set the pace for UNH, and was closely followed by junior Matthew O'Connor's sixth-place time of 18:08.62.
Joshua Kearns finished eighth with a time of 18:23.68, followed by Nicholas Decrescenzo in ninth with a time of 18:24.08 and Dylan McGuffin in tenth, who clocked in at 18:38.58.
The next race for the Wildcats will be Sept. 21 when they travel to Orono, Maine to take on the University of Maine at 2 p.m.
