As the title suggests every week Mike and I will try and have a column in TNH "getting in your face" informing you, the student body, what we've been up to and what we have planned. As we said on our platform when we ran, we want to improve the communication between the students, faculty and the administration; this is just one of many steps. So please -- read on and see what's happening at your University. Thanks for reading our column.
Well just to let you all know, senate meetings will now be held in McConnell 212 at 7pm. So if you would like to come see how Student Senate is run or if you have some input on any issues at all, please come by a meeting.
We have gotten some more senators since our last column that mention coming to senate meeting those new additions are Llewellyn Weaver representing Woodside's Apartments and Elizabeth Jordan representing Williamson Hall, welcome aboard and anyone who lives in those areas can count on them for representation in Senate.
The initiative to change ID numbers from Social Security numbers to random numbers is underway. A project leader has been chosen, and current predictions are that around 18 months from now the new system should be implemented.
Latest news on dorm life and buildings, Mike and I are trying to set up times to stop by your hall council meetings to talk with you, our constituents, about the university and what you would like to see from us. This would be a good time to voice any concerns, comments or questions you have. So be on the look out for announcements from your RAs or HDs of when we will be arriving. We are doing the same thing for Greek Chapters too.
Signs that would be posted near residence hall's doors are being looked into. They basically state that no one without a UNH Student ID, unless accompanied by someone who does have an ID, will be allowed into the building. We are hoping that these signs will deterre those that aren't students from trying to "sneak" in.
