Unbeknownst to many on campus, SHARPP offices moved at the beginning of the semester from their location at Health Services to Verrette House, on Garrison Ave.

SAAC Dodgeball Tournament A Success

They called themselves Channel 4 News Team and after Sunday night's dodgeball tournament, they can call themselves champions. Eight members of the UNH men's cross country team made up the victorious combination of players. Over 20 teams took to the turf Sunday night to raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims.

Prosecutors have mixed thoughts on sex-offender sentences

Concord, N.H.- There's growing sentiment in New Hampshire for stronger penalties for sex offenders, but some prosecutors who handle child-molester cases disagree on whether mandatory 25-year prison terms would help protect children. Some feel the sentence would get offenders off the streets, but others feel they would lose the ability to plea bargain and salvage cases.

Working on the Website Woes

Despite slow loading times and heated grumbling from students around campus, the use of Blackboard by the UNH community continues to increase, and CIS continues their efforts to fix as many glitches as they can. "Blackboard is like an online city," commented Bill Baber, who is in charge of The Blackboard Project.

EEE virus remains viable

As the summer draws to a close, the EEE virus still remains a viable threat. Concerns have been raised over the course of the summer due in part to the discovery of four dead birds, a dead horse and the recent deaths of a 20-year-old Newton woman, and an 80-year-old Hooksett man earlier this year.
