Whether you are entering your second semester or your last one at UNH, you came here excited about your future and the opportunities ahead. The University Advising and Career Center (UACC) staff share that excitement and want to help you prepare for your future. Our staff is trained to work with you to answer the following questions:
• What can I do with my major?
• What are my career options?
• How can I use my work-study employment, summer job, or volunteer opportunity to gain experience?
• How do I find an internship to get work experience?
• How do I write an effective resume and cover letter?
• How can I talk comfortably about my skills and abilities with a prospective employer?
• Where and how do I begin my job search?
• How do I find out about applying to graduate school?
The UACC Career Center is located in Hood House, next to the MUB. Our office provides a wide range of resources, including individual career advising, mentor networks, resume and cover letter reviews, practice interviewing, on-campus recruiting, internship services, employer information sessions, job fairs, and an extensive Web site, including our new comprehensive career resource, VAULT. Some of our special events this year are:
• Resume Review Days - 10/12, 2/15, 4/12
• Practice Interview Days - 3/29
• Walk In Resume/Cover Letter Review M-F, 12 - 3 p.m.
