The Chris Banks Show continued its surprisingly high ratings run on Wednesday. Led by the precocious young freshman, the Wildcats picked up their first win in four years over the Boston University Terriers and moved their overall record to 7-4-2 and 2-2 in conference.

The first half was a classic performance by the 'Cats. They worked hard in the defense and midfield, and tried to put Banks and sophomore Kyle Urso through on the goal. This constant effort translated into two goals in the half, both by the scoring sensation Banks.

The first strike was thanks in most part to the hard work of junior Derek Bragg. Bragg, who pestered the Terrier's all day, forced a turnover deep in the Terriers zone. He attempted a shot which was blocked right back to him. He then popped a pass into the box which Banks gathered, turned, and shot into the back of the net.

"Bragg did the hard work on that one; I just had to finish it," Banks said. "I was in the right place at the right time and did what I had to do."

The second goal was a highlight reel job that was both tremendous and something you would expect out of Banks at this point. Running onto a Mike McKee long ball, Banks leapt into the air and met a bouncing ball right outside of the box with a thundering half-volley that passed the outstretched BU keeper.

Banks almost added a third right before the half where a lunging shot was turned away after a scrum in front of the net.

UNH, however, was not going to take the BU Terriers lightly just because of the half time score. These Terriers were ranked 25th in the country and a team capable of scoring goals. They were also determined to make it a game in the second half.

In a half marred by scrappy play, card inducing outbursts, and plenty of trash talk, BU spent most of the half in the Wildcats' end, earning dangerous set pieces all over the field. BU barraged senior Kevin Levy's goal with 11 shots in the half. UNH withstood most of the attacks but finally bucked under the pressure when a free kick set up led to a header finish.
