However, Freid said he has also received multiple threats of violence that were publicly posted on Twitter and on barstoolsports.com. He decided, however, that he should not back down because of a few people.

“I said what I had to say, and I stand by it,” Freid said.

A lot of Women will not want to admit it, but what this Guy wrote is TRUE.

All you "women" who are offended/threatened by this are so perverted and twisted in your head that I feel sorry for you. Yes, rape is wrong and should never be tolerated: and I feel sympathy towards the victims. However, you guys are way out of line and are "seeing things" that simply are not there. UNH_D never even insinuated rape once (and never used words that were beyond a PG-rated context). If UNH_D tweeted things like "if she's crying while you're on top of her, she still wants the 'd'!" then THAT could be insinuated as a pro-rape remark and I could see where people would be offended. But all the tweets were juvenile and brainless. The main issue is a bunch of brainwashed, weak-minded people looking for things to get upset about and manipulating people's words so that any phrase could be construed as something offensive by connecting A to B, B to C, C to D, etc... It's so ridiculous that it's laughable. SHARPP and the rest of its power rangers refuse to answer the question as to how they know the "D" in UNH_D stands for "dick". Like I said: perverted gutter minds assuming things which simply aren't there. Maybe "she" wants the "Doritos"? Chips are good too.

What is particilarly interesting is how there are plenty of twitter accounts (and facebook pages) which have harsher humor than UNH_D - why isn't SHARPP and their pack of saviors going after these people? Surely they pose a threat not only to UNH students, but the entire nation of females, right? What about the UNH_V account? Why is rape of men (by women) OK? Why don't you people report them to the UNH PD?

As a born and raised New Hampshirite, I weep for my state institution, and higher eduction in general. How much money is wasted with this PC BS? Read the Constitution. Read the 1st Amendment. Read some case law re the same. Stop wasting everyone's time.

Oh, and Alex Freid, your facebook says it all: Casella, Youth Peace Volunteers, New Hampshire Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty, UNH NORML, Unschooling, Carol Shea-Porter, Wikileaks, Students for a Democratic Society, Amnesty International USA, Cuéntame, Peace Action, Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), The Sierra Club, UNH Women's Studies Program, Zinn Education Projectand 121 more

Seriously, did they get you directly from central casting?

College students, start to understand that you know so little compared with those that came before you. Understand that the vast majority of your profs know little as well of the real world. Realize that you are completely wasting your time on this.

Having an opinion can be illegal by a little known clause in the constitution recently found by the democrats that says that anything you think or say that they don't agree with is punishable by death. Sodomy and muslim terrorists killing people over a precieved slight are fine in their book but make a joke in bad taste and you are toast.

UNH_D never mentioned the word "dick" once (so how can "D" stand for "dick" unless your own perverted mind conjured that idea?), never mentioned "rape" or insinuation thereof (in a legit manner), and never mentions a specific group of individual... So if the petty UNH PD plan on getting justice for the 0 victims this generated, good luck. This is extremely pathetic, and the only reason this is getting the time of day is because it is happening at a campus where liberals rule (so if one person out of 100,000 complains, the PD has to investigate). There is a UNH_V account - investigate them too! I am offended!! They're implying rape too! Arrest them, UNH PD! There is a fake Mark Huddleston account on twitter as well; he's pretending to be the president, ARREST HIM! He offends me too! Come on, liberals, let's rejoice! Let's feel powerful for once in our lives - because we're arrogant, entitled UNH students and have a voice!
Another Woman

Well, as ANOTHER woman, I personally find this account pretty damn SCARY actually. Saying something does not agree with you is okay to do. And you don't have to think it's funny to "want the d" in order to be a tough girl or anything like that. Girls AND guys are allowed to have feelings and are allowed to say "Hey, that's not appropriate." and in this case they should be doing exactly that.

Also I happen to know that other thirty people put in reports that weekend. And if I had thought of it I would have done that too.

I'd be interested in hearing what actual victims had to say, since they're the ones who would know about being affected by these jokes, right?

Though I can see that being really difficult. Still would give some insight.

I reported the account, and I'm not a "dude feminist" or a poly sci major. I'm a girl who was sexually assaulted on this campus.

As a woman, I personally find this account pretty damn funny. I am in no way offended by the tweets made. Whoever brought this to the police has some serious self confidence issues and they are probably the ones that inspired the account.

What happened is that you can Live Free or Die until you violate trademark laws. You can post whatever you wish as an individual. Very different situations.

What happened to Live Free or Die? What is offensive here is that individuals trump free speech and that is what should be found offensive. Sounds like UNH should rethink there civicx classes for all students.
