Tiësto’s concert at the Whittemore Center, originally scheduled for Oct. 5, has been rescheduled for Feb. 22, 2013. The DJ said in a press release that he has been dealing with back problems and has been told by doctors to take the month of October off from performing.
“I hate to disappoint my fans and be told I have to sit still for a while, but I am relieved we were able to reschedule the dates. I’m looking forward to seeing you all very soon!” Tiësto said in the press release.
Tiësto was slated to perform in Durham as part of his Club Life College Invasion tour, which he has been forced to postpone in its entirety. Dada Life had been scheduled to open for Tiësto on Oct. 5, but the special guest for the Feb. 22 concert has yet to be unannounced.
Tickets purchased for Oct. 5 will be honored at the Feb. 22 show without any further action. Refunds will be available at the Whittemore Center box office for tickets purchased there starting at 10 a.m. on Oct. 3. Those who purchased their tickets elsewhere, such as from Ticketmaster, should contact the point of purchase provider.
