Tiesto to invade the Whitt in October

Dutch DJ Tiesto will perform at the Whittemore Center Arena on Oct. 5 as part of his College Invasion tour. The show is produced by NV Concepts and MASS Electronic Dance Community. 

A fixture at or near the top of the DJ Mag Top 100 poll for the past decade, Tijs Michiel Verwest, more commonly known as Tiesto, will bring electronic dance music back to the Whittemore Center. He will be the third world-renowned DJ to perform at UNH in the past year. Swedish DJ Avicii performed at the Whitt in October of 2011 and David Guetta followed suit this past February. 

Tiesto was ranked No. 1 in the DJ Mag Top 100 three straight times from 2002-2004. He came in at third in the 2011 poll. 

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, June 27 at 12 p.m., according to the Whittemore Center Facebook page. Tickets will be $30 for arena bowl seats, $40 for student floor tickets and $50 for non-student floor tickets. Tickets can be purchased at the Whittemore Center box office or online through Ticketmaster.
