iPhone 7, iOS 10, Apple Watch 2 and iPhone 6C – Apple Preparing in 2015

TNH Staff · January 6, 2016 · Leave a Comment

Apple never takes breaks and its work is continued right after a new product is released. In 2015, the American multinational technology company headquartered in Cupertino, California, has released a new pair of iPhones, the iPad Mini 4 and iPad Pro tablets, alongside the Appel Watch smartwatch. Let’s not forget that the phones and tablets have been upgraded to iOS 9, while the Macs are now running on “El Capitan”. So, what should we expect from Apple in 2016?

Apple had a great 2015 year in terms of earnings, selling lots of iPhones, Macs, Apple Watches and content from the App Store, as the revenue grew to $234 billion, which is 28 percent. In 2016, the company is expected to release four important products: the smaller iPhone 6C with a metal body, the next iPhone 7, the iPad Air 3 and the second generation Apple Watch, plus the iOS 10 operating system.

iPhone 6C

This phone hasn’t been confirmed by Apple, but there are many rumors saying that the company will bring a smaller iPhone with a plastic body, which will be as tall as the iPhone 5C, but it will have a metal body. This rumor was spread by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is famous for making realistic predictions, so if he will be right, then in the first half of 2016 we’ll see another 4-inch iPhone, but with aluminum back and a pressure sensitive 3D Touch display likewise on the iPhone 6S.

Apple Watch 2

The first Apple Watch was launched in March 2015 and created some buzz, as until November there were shipped 7 million units, worldwide. The smartwatch depended on an iPhone, otherwise it wasn’t fully functional, and it didn’t support third-party apps, so Apple was forced to release WatchOS 2 in September, which allowed applications to run independently. So, now, the users no longer need to pair the Apple watch with an iPhone, in order to run applications, and they can turn the device into an alarm clock, or check their calendar appointments. In addition, the watch can be secured from thieves. The successor is rumored to be released alongside the iPhone 6c, in March, and it might receive two new features: water resistance and GPS capabilities.

iPhone 7

The flagship is expected to support the newly added features: 3D Touch and 4K video capture, but it will be thinner (6-6.5mm thick) and will have a new design, but this would mean that the battery capacity will suffer again. Anyway, another rumor suggests that the home button will be removed and Apple will implement the fingerprint scanner inside the screen. Predictions also say that the device will be waterproof and will support wireless charging.

iPad Air 3

The tablet is rumored to be released in March and it won’t have the 3D Touch capabilities. However, the screen will measure 9.7-inch and will support a 4K resolution of 2334 x 3112 pixels, being powered by an A9X processor with 2GB to 4GB of RAM.

iOS 10

iOS 10 will be announced at Apple’s 2016 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), but for now, there are no reports giving credible information about the new features of the upcoming OS, but the internet is full of rumors and speculations and it is believed that iOS 10 will allow the users to hide Apple’s default applications and choose third-party applications instead. It is also rumored that Apple is testing the iCloud voicemail and the users will allow Siri to speak with people who are contacting them, then the assistant will translate their voice messages into text.
