How to Share a YouTube Video on WhatsApp

TNH · March 11, 2016 · Leave a Comment

So you just saw a funny video on YouTube and want to share it with one of your dear friends on WhatsApp, but you just don’t know how. Because WhatsApp allows you to share and send videos easily, the process is actually quite simple.

To begin, you need to select a video you want to share and press the share icon. Then, choose a friend or group you want to send the video to. If you’re confused moving though the various menu options, you can take a few minutes to learn about submitting a video on WhatsApp by following these instructions:

If you’re an Android user, all you have to do is open the conversation where the video is located and hold your finger on its preview for a couple seconds. Next, click the button containing the arrow that will appear in the top right, select the name of the person or group you want to share it with, and confirm the operation by clicking the OK button.

If you’re an iPhone user, the steps are basically the same. The only difference is, instead of selecting an arrow button, you will press your finger to the screen for a few seconds and select “forward.” Press the Forward 1 video icon, select the person you group you want to share the video with, and press submit to confirm the operation.

After you have completed this process, the contact or group you have chosen will be sent a link to the video of your choosing through WhatsApp. The video itself will not show up directly inside the app, unlike the videos directly uploaded from your smartphone. This link will be sent instead.

For Android users, you must select the WhatsApp icon, but if you’re using an iPhone, you will need to copy and paste the link from a menu that will appear to continue the process before opening it in WhatsApp. Then, just copy and paste by holding your finger on the screen for a few moments.

You can also share any videos you may have saved to your phone memory or any from You Tube easily and efficiently to stay connected with your friends, but WhatsApp is a great tool for sharing, especially when it comes to videos. What are you waiting for?! Get started today!
