TNH · September 30, 2016 · Leave a Comment

Rolled out during the second week of September, WhatsApp Messenger 2.16.267 beta APK is the latest version available to date. It’s doesn’t have any new feature, except for what has been introduced in the past beta releases:

  • When placing a WhatsApp call, you can now quickly leave a voice message if your call isn’t answered, just like voicemail.
  • Missed calls now show up in chats.

One thing is for sure, however, bug fixes and performance improvements come with the latest beta version. More are likely to be added when testing has been completed, and there are problems and features that need to addressed and added, respectively.

To find out what the WhatsApp Messenger 2.16.267 beta APK has in store for its millions of users, you can either wait for the update to officially roll out, or become a beta tester.

Simply visit the Android store, and tap the button that says “Become a Tester”. You can also use the WhatsApp Beta Updater for Android that will get you beta updates before they reach Google Play.

What is great about the Beta Updater is that the next round of WhatsApp beta versions or new APK file will be automatically downloaded and installed on your device. You can then start tinkering with the beta version.

To download WhatsApp Messenger 2.16.267 beta APK, visit the APKMirror page for WhatsApp and look for 2.16.267 at the Download area, at the lower portion of the page. Click on it, and then click Download on the next page that will open up.

The latest WhatsApp beta version free download has a minimum requirement of Android 2.3.4+.

Once you have it installed, test out the latest version and be sure to provide feedback that will guide developers to further improve the instant messaging app. Who knows? You might be the person to address concerns about WhatsApp passing over contacts lists to Facebook.
