iPhone 8 vs. Samsung Galaxy S8 – What We Know So Far?

TNH Staff · February 6, 2017 · Leave a Comment

We all know by now that Samsung and Apple are the two main competitors in the smartphone industry. People are watching every move they make, every release they have and try to find out the most about their next flagships as soon as possible. For this reason there are lots of rumors and speculations that circulate about their upcoming devices, namely iPhone 8 and Samsung Galaxy S8.

It seems that Samsung is going to release two models of its next flagship device. Unlike its previous releases though, this year they will introduce a Galaxy S8 Plus model, that will offer 4K quality in its display, a dual-lens camera and S-Pen support. It is obvious that the company is placing all the best they have since they need the next model to be a huge success in order to compensate for the Galaxy Note 7 disaster. Most likely they will be including 4K quality in order to make the phone compatible with VR.  Meanwhile, Apple is also planning to go big, with an expensive phone that offers a 5.8 inches AMOLED display and perhaps the best camera they manufacture until now. If the rumors will turn out to be correct, iPhone 8 Pro will be a very powerful phone.

Supposedly it will have a 5.1 and 5.5 curved 4K Super AMOLED screen, with a 2160×3840 resolution, 64 GB internal memory, a 12 MP front camera and a 16MP back one.

According to KGI Securities, Apple is expected to produce between 120 and 150 million iPhone 8 devices before the end of the year. It seems that it will have a 4.7/ 5.5 or 5.8 inches and a 1920×1310 curved OLED screen. The front camera should be 8MP, while the back one 12 MP with 4K video recording, and the device will run on an A11 processor and 3-4 GB RAM.
