There are still many glitches in the Pokémon Go, which have been “abused” by the players to make their game better. One of the most popular one is evolving the Pokémon Eevee, which was done by renaming it.
However, there is also another way to evolve Eevee into an Umbreon and Espeon. In order to evolve Eevee you will need 25 candies, which means that first of all you will have to make sure that you have enough candies before trying to evolve it.
In concordance with a report from EuroGamer, the Pokémon Go players will have to make Eevee their buddy Pokémon, walk with it about 10 kilometers and collect at least 2 candies. Before trying to evolve Eevee, you will also need to make sure that it is still set as your buddy Pokémon.
To evolve Eevee into the chosen evolution is very easy after doing these 2 steps. However, you will need to keep in mind that if you want to evolve Eevee into Umbreon you will to do it between 6PM and 3:59AM. In case you want to evolve this Pokémon into an Esepon, you will need to evolve it between 4AM and 5:59PM.
There are players who claim that the game is following your local time zone, so just look at the in-game screen and you will know exactly when you are able to do the evolution. Keep in mind that if the in-game music and display are in night mode, then you should know it is considered night time.
If you want to use the good old “rename” glitch evolution in Pokémon GO, then you just need to rename Eevee to Pyro, Rainer, Sparky, Sakura and Tamao to evolve it to Flareon, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Espeon and Umbreon. We have to mention that the “rename” glitch still works without any problems, but the developers will most likely fix it in the coming weeks.
