Aston Martin Vantage 2018 vs. Old Model – Differences and Improvements

TNH Staff · November 22, 2017 · Leave a Comment

A new Aston Martin Vantage model 2018 is here and available starting next year. It has a radical new design and plenty of technological gadgets. Fans of the Vantage model or Aston Martin brand will fall in love with the new car. The question is if the 2018 Vantage will sell more than the consecrated sporty Vantage from 2006.

The 2018 Aston Martin Vantage: specs and design

  • Power

The new Vantage will be powered by a 4.0-liter bi-turbo V8 engine with 503 horsepower, 505 pound-feet torque. The top speed is of 196 miles per hour and the car weighs 3,373 pounds. The starting price of the 2018 Aston Martin Vantage is of 149,995$. It is higher than the 2015 model.

  • Design

The frontal part of the car has been compared by some to a catfish or a vacuum cleaner. The front fascia is the most eye-catching feature. There is a bigger grill, sculpted into the frontal diffuser and sleeker headlights. The design seems familiar; it has something out of the Bond DB10.

From the profile, the design maintains the same features as the previous 2015 model. The shape is also the same, except the door panels which have some new details and a slimmer greenhouse.

The back part of the car does not resemble the previous model. It features a single LED light bar and a massive new diffuser with the same color as the rest of the boy. There is also an integrated lip spoiler and quad exhaust tips.

  • Interior

The new model features a very different looking cabin from the previous model. The 2018 Vantage has new sporty looking seats, flat-bottomed steering wheel, and leather interior. The manual gearbox was eliminated and a new ZF eight-speed automatic transmission has been added. The center part has the gear selector buttons, encased by a color-coated carbon fiber trim piece. The technological gadgets are also present. The 2018 Aston Martin Vantage has a command infotainment center screen and interface and as a bonus a digital dashboard.
