TNH Staff · November 23, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Breaking news for Porsche fans! Some photographers managed to snap a couple pictures of the new generation Porsche 911 Turbo. This car is scheduled to come out next year under the Carrera and Carrera S brand. However, the car manufacturer is getting ready to release multiple variations of the car in order to make its distinct clientele happy.

Porsche 911 Turbo

The car used as a test mule in these spy pictures is equipped with the body of a 991-series Carrera. Although, there are many clues which lead us to believe that what we’re actually seeing is the Turbo model.

First off, the makeshift fender extensions are put there so that they can hide the widened track. That’s not all since the gaping hole in the flanks and the cooling vents which are placed on both sides of the rear fascia show us that we are dealing with an extra potency engine.

We should also mention that the large exhaust tips and massive brakes are typical to all high-end 911 models. Moreover, the car’s design is specially made so that its more aerodynamic which also points towards a Turbo model.

Engine

In terms of power, Porsche 911 Turbo will be able to break quarter mile records all over the world. The car will probably be fueled by a twin-turbocharged flat-6 engine. The reason we are saying this is because all its predecessors used a similar engine. When it comes to horsepower, the new car will be able to put out 540HP which makes us believe that it will also feature a 580-600 fuel range.

In addition, Porsche 911 Turbo will certainly feature an all-wheel drive mode and the engine might be paired with an electric motor. This will help the engine to put out somewhere around 650HP. Also, this is not the first time that Porsche has meddled with electric engines since there is already an existing hybridized 911 model.
