Land Rover Discovery Sport was initially unveiled back in September of 2014. The vehicle then started shipping out globally in 2015. While a few years have passed since Land Rover Discovery Sport first hit the market, the car is still far from being old because it received many improvements along the way.
Next Generation Discovery Sport
It seems like the English car manufacturer is adding the finishing touches to a new model of Discovery. The reason we are saying this is because someone managed to snap a couple pictures of the said model while out on the road. Even though people might think that this is just a prototype and not a mule for a next generation model, this is not the case and we have the proof to back it up.
If we take a closer look at the fuel cap we can see that it has a weird shape and size which leads us to believe that it will be relocated. More than that, the exhaust system also looks quite weird which gives us additional reason to believe that we are looking at the next generation Discovery Sport.
New Architecture and Redesigned Suspensions
While it might be too early to say, we can still speculate about the changes that new Discovery Sport model will feature. First off, we can be sure that the car will feature a new architecture that’s going to be equipped with new powertrains. Moreover, the car will also sport a new set of redesigned suspensions.
Sadly, these are all speculations and Land Rover doesn’t want to confirm anything. Considering that this next-gen Discovery Sport model is expected to come out in 2021, no one can blame Land Rover for deciding to keep it under wraps and away from media’s eyes.
