A scoreboard from GFX Bench and Geekbench, the bench marking websites has unveiled that Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are being tested for their compatibility with the Android 7.0 Nougat OS update. Samsung has confirmed in an official statement that they are going to roll out the new OS upgrade to most of their Galaxy line of devices. The smartphones that are going to receive the Nougat update are Samsung’s Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge and the Plus version of it, also Galaxy S7 and the Edge version as well.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 was released in May of 2016 and it has not yet been included in any of Samsung’s statements. This has made owners of Samsung Galaxy J7 worried, and thinking that their devices might not receive the Nougat update.
Owners of the Galaxy J7 should just be patient and wait for the update roll out to come to them as well, since the device is not even one year old, it will surely not be forgotten. There are actually many rumors that point out the fact that Samsung is getting close to confirming the OS update for Galaxy J7.
The Nougat OS update for the Samsung devices that have been confirmed to receive the update are going to receive the new Android 7.0 Nougat during the fourth quarter of 2016. This means that owners of Samsung Galaxy J7 are most likely to also receive their Android 7.0 Nougat OS update during the last three months of the year.
Samsung has also confirmed that their Galaxy Tab S2 is going to receive the update as well, but it won’t be coming too fast. The Tab S2 is going to receive its Nougat update during the year 2017.
Samsung Galaxy J7 owners should keep their eyes peeled for notification updates to ensure that they get OS update as soon as possible.
