Elder Scrolls is one of Bethesda’s top games and their last installment in the franchise was Skyrim which is a great success among all gaming platforms. The Elder Scrolls franchise managed to gather a huge fan following, and now even if Bethesda recently released the re-mastered edition of Skyrim for both console and PC platforms, fans are already looking for news regarding the upcoming The Elder Scrolls: 6. There are many rumors regarding the next installment in the franchise, but it seems like there’s a possibility that Bethesda might take another route and create The Elder Scrolls: 6 as a mobile game.
What led us to believe that Bethesda might want to release the next Elder Scrolls game for mobile devices is because Bethesda’s own Todd Howard stated in an interview that the company already has a few mobile games in development. In the interview, Todd Howard also confirmed that Bethesda is looking to release another game that’s based around Fallout Shelter’s structure.
Bethesda is also the developer and producer of Fallout, and the Fallout Shelter mobile game. The mobile game was an unexpected huge success and it brought huge amounts of profits to Bethesda. If the developers behind the mobile game decide to release an Elder Scrolls mobile game and put additional features that charge extra or a monthly subscription, the mobile game can even bring more profits than either PC or console edition does.
While Bethesda has yet to confirm what the future of The Elder Scrolls franchise is, we can either expect a mobile game or a full game that’s accompanied by a mobile game. What’s interesting is that the developer team behind The Elder Scrolls stated in an interview that they have some ideas of what the next installment should feature, the only problem they said is that the technology hasn’t been invented yet. This means that we have to wait for 2017 and see what the future holds.
