For those unfamiliar with the game, Rocket League is Psyonix Studios’ most popular endeavor for computers and PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox consoles alike. The game is described as soccer with rocket-powered cars. The cars are used just like one would use players in FIFA, for example. Many have loved the game for its innovative and very fun concept, with Rocket League being a widespread hit amongst gamers worldwide.
Psyonix Studios and the Art of Always Providing Exciting Expansions
Besides its ingenious and entertaining concept, many players were drawn to Rocket League by its one-of-a-kind expansions. In fact, no other game has ever managed to attract such relevant collaborators for its expansions. Psyonix’ Rocket League currently provided spectacular expansion packs such as Back to the Future, Hot Wheels, Batman v Superman and even NBA. And now, it’s time for the game to take the direction everyone has been rooting for it to take over the last years, namely score a collaboration with the most defining name in the racecar film genre: The Fast and the Furious.
And, amazingly enough, Psyonix went ahead and did just that. The esteemed American video game developer has managed to jump on the bandwagon of the new Fate and the Furious film that is coming to a theater near you on April 14, and so they are launching the DLC for Rocket League ten days beforehand, on April 4. The expansion comes with Dom’s iconic car and six unique decals, all for just two dollars.
With the set date being just around the corner, we can’t wait to see how Dom’s classic Dodge Charger ’70 will fit into the game. However, we’re sure it’s going to be an amazing new addition to the Rocket League family.
