Minecraft is a sandbox video game that was designed by Markus Persson (aka Notch) and developed by Mojang. Back in September 2014 Mojang was purchased by Microsoft for $2.5 billion and most of the fans were quite concerned that the new company owner will release Minecraft version only for its platforms.
However, Microsoft has reacted very fast and assured the fans that they will not interfere and it will let Mojang release new versions of Minecraft for all available platforms. Today we can say that the Minecraft is doing better than ever, with millions of gamers playing this game all over the world.
We remind you that the game was firstly released back in 2011 for Windows PC, Linux, Android and iOS, but currently it is available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Windows Phone, Apple TV and WiiU.
In other words, Minecraft is one of those games that will not die very soon, especially because it is so entertaining and it is available for so many platforms. At the same time, this game can be enjoyed while being played by either an adult or a kid, making one of the best games for a family.
Unfortunately, China was one of the areas that were not allowing Minecraft and other videos games for years. However, it seems that this country has started to reduce the restrictions of video games in recent years. We remind you that the Xbox One was the first home console that was allowed in China since the PlayStation 2.
Well, it seems that Mojang has stepping up and it is finally bringing Minecraft to China via a partnership with NetEase. The later company will localize the game and bring some special features that will be available only for the gamers from China.
We remind you that NetEase has also released other foreign games in China and two of them are Blizzard’s Overwatch and World of Warcraft. Minecraft for PC and Minecraft Pocket Edition will be released in China and the two will be limited to the original “Java” version. Unfortunately, it’s not sure yet if Minecraft will be released for more platforms, but this is a good beginning and Mojang is very happy about it.
It’s not sure when the Minecraft Closed BETA will begin in China, but we’re pretty sure that you will be able to register via NetEase, as this company will handle almost everything.
