Audi RS7 Sportback 2018 with V8 Engine Spotted on the Streets of Spain

TNH Staff · November 24, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Even though only one month passed since Audi unveiled the sleek looking new A7 Sportback, the car is already close to finishing its testing phase. The new A7 Sportback was spotted out on the streets of Spain and it looks amazing. Although, we need to mention that this is only a test mule and that the final product will look a bit different.

Design

Right after taking a quick glance at the vehicle which was spotted in Spain, we can see that the front bumper looks quite different when compared with the classic A7 model. Moreover, the air vents are also shaped in a different way. Leaving the front bumper and air vents aside, the rest of the bumper’s surface looks identical to what the classic A7 model is equipped with.

If we look at the back of Audi’s new A7 Sportback, we can spot that the fat dual oval exhaust tips are similar to Audi’s RS-badged model which is mostly used on standard A7 vehicles alongside design cutouts which free up more room. With that said, we think it’s safe to assume that the final version of Audi’s new A7 Sportback will present some major bumper and exhaust changes.

V8 Engine and 650 Horsepower

The most interesting thing that we can take from these spy shots is that A7 Sportback is quite low which points towards a huge engine. Things get even more interesting when we see that Audi’s new car doesn’t really have much room left in the wheel housings. Therefore, Audi is more than likely to equip the new car with a 4.0-liter V8 engine that puts out somewhere around 650 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque.

We should also mention that Marc Lichte who is Audi’s chief designer stated that a new RS7 Sportback will also be unveiled before 2018 ends. In addition, there are many rumors which point towards the fact that Audi is working on a more powerful hybrid engine that puts out 700 horsepower.
