Adobe Flash Player For Chrome (May 2018) Has At Least 4 Versions

TNH Online · April 11, 2018 · Leave a Comment

Adobe Flash Player users often discuss about problems they are having as they use Google Chrome browser when playing video content online. However, it was found out that they have installed a Google Chrome version for developers.

The Chrome version used by these people was not recommended because it is not for the average user. Take note that there are at least 4 different Google Chrome channels, including the Stable channel, Beta channel, Dev channel, and the Canary channel.

The stable channel should be your best bet to avoid problems and crashes, as it gets full testing prior to release. The beta channel is not your best choice because it only features what is next for Chrome and has some minimal risks involved. The dev channel also gets updated more frequently in comparison to the beta releases, but it is still subject to some common bugs.

The canary channel is not a recommended version for any person without tech background. This is because such builds wouldn’t undergo testing or usage by engineers at Google. Likewise, they are released right after they are built. In fact, at some point, some of these released versions might not work at all.

You can still install the canary version, considering that you already have the regular version installed. This is because it uses its own profile. For this reason, your preferences, apps, accounts, and sync profiles would be affected whatsoever.

Each of these releases has different set of changes, frequency of updates, and feature additions. If you are having issues with any of these channels, it is best to undergo a complete uninstall and installation of the Google Chrome browser before trying to use it again for streaming purposes.

Adobe Flash Player updates automatically with Chrome, so there is no need to worry when you haven’t been able to update your version of Flash Player thus far.
