Remove Windows 10 Upgrade In 2018 And Get The Previous Working Version Running

TNH Online · April 24, 2018 · Leave a Comment

Lots of people might have been able to get the Windows 10 update in 2018. In fact, many spent time to wait for their Windows 10 to update at a particular time of the day. However, there are those who were not impressed with Windows 10’s latest update.

If you are one of them, then you have come to the right place because you can actually uninstall the Windows 10 upgrade. First, you need to check if you can uninstall Windows 10 by going to Start -> Settings -> Update & Security, then choose Recovery, which you can see at the left side of the window.

When you reach this portion, you can start the uninstallation if you can see the option to Go back to Windows 7 or 8. If you do, then click the “Get started” button below. The uninstallation process will complete after a while and Windows 10 would ask you why you are going to remove it.

The uninstallation process will begin after you will receive some warnings in which your PC will restart thereafter. Depending on the performance of your computer, the process would take about an hour to finish, but you just have to wait or do anything else while it is in the works.

After the process has removed Windows 10, your computer will be working back to Windows 7 or 8, depending on your last upgrade. Thus, you need to check after that to see if everything has been working fine. Take time to view the files if they are still intact. You may or may not install the software you have installed under Windows 10. However, there might be some compatibility issues when you retain software when running on lower versions of Windows. So, you might as well remove them to avoid certain issues in the future.
