HTC is definitely on a roll as it continues to revamp the “One” series of handsets. The company just released the One X9 gizmo and from the looks of it, adversaries are lining up pretty fast and Xiamo’s Redmi Note 3 seems to be its number one challenger. The competition is tight, so let’s see which one will prevail.
HTC One X9 vs Redmi Note 3: Design, display, specs, cameras & costs
The One X9 has the same metal unibody look as its sibling the One A9, but for some, the fact that it does not have the fingerprint scanner might be a disappointment. And as far as the color spectrum for this device, you only have black or white. As for the display part, the One X9 is a 5.5-inch display and has a resolution of a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels and 401 pixels ppi.
As for the Redmi Note 3, it sports a metal chassis as well with some nicely rounded edges. With this one, you have the fingerprint scanner feature and you can find it in gold, gray and silver. Display wise, the Redmi Note 3 also has the same 5.5-inch display, the same resolution and 403 ppi.
Both the Redmi Note 3 and the HTC One X9 have a Mediatek Helio X10 chipset, an octa-core CPU as well as a PowerVR G6200. As far as memory is concerned, the Redmi Note 3 has no possibility of extending its memory and it does not have a card slot whereas the One X9’s internal memory can be expanded up to 200 GB.
RAM wise, the Redmi Note 3 comes in the 16 GB version which has 2 GB of RAM, the 32 GB version which is coupled with 3 GB of RAM whilst its opponent has 3 GB of RAM.
Moving on to the cameras, the Redmi Note 3 packs a 13 MP back end shooter and so does the HTC One X9, but the latter also includes OIS. Price wise, the 16 GB version of the Redmi Note 3 costs $140 while the HTC One X9 device will cost quite a lot, bein priced at $370.
