We’re finally in 2016 and the first event that everyone is waiting for is CES 2016. The Consumer Technology Association event is not as popular as it was used to be, but there are still companies who prefer to showcase their products during this event.
This year we expect a lot of news from automotive companies, VR companies, TV makers and more. So, if you are planning to attend CES 2016, we suggest you to prepare yourselves, as the event will kick off on January 6, 2016.
Virtual Reality
Virtual Reality headsets will surely be present at CES 2016, as these devices are being prepared to be released soon and they will support VR movies and games.
As we all know, companies such as HTC, Oculus and Sony are preparing to release their VR headsets in the upcoming months. However, there is still plenty of room for surprises. For example, Oculus still hasn’t announced when the Rift headset or shown off a “non-prototype” version of its Touch controllers.
Cars
CES is one of those events where car companies are always present. For example, Volkswagen has been teasing us with a new electric concept and this might be a new Microbus, which is one of the most iconic models of this company. At the same time, there’s Ford, which will team up with Google in order to make autonomous cars. BMW is also working on a new system called AirTouch, which will be a new system for controlling the next generation of in-car user interfaces.
TVs and Smarthomes
During CES 2016, we will most likely see some new 4K TV models that will offer many fancy visual things. When it comes to smarthomes, we’re pretty sure that Google and Apple will bring some new devices that will make our lives easier.
CES 2016 will be held in Las Vegas during January 6-9, 2016.
