Grand Theft Auto V is one of the best action-adventure video games and it was launched in September 2013, for PS3 and Xbox 360, then in November, next year, it was available for the next gen consoles and in April 2015 was released a version for Microsoft Windows. The game kept its fans’ interest levels very high, but something was missing: a female protagonist. Well, according to the latest rumors, it seems that the upcoming GTA 6 will have a lead female character.
Express has started these rumors, stating that the GTA 6 will be released in 2018 and it will get a female lead, whose voice will belong to actress Eva Mendes. This information was backed by Rockstar Co-Founder Dan House’s statement: “In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course, we just haven’t found the right game for it yet, but it’s one of the things we always think about.” He didn’t necessarily mean that GTA 6 is the game that will have a lead female character, but if the developer will indeed use Eva Mendes’ voice, then many gamers will enjoy playing as a woman, a hot one if she will look exactly like the actress. Ryan Gosling, Eva’s real-life partner is also touted to be a possible male character in the GTA 6, and according to lead developer Leslie Benzies, the game will bring a bigger map and more missions.
Having the couple of famous actors in the upcoming GTA 6 is a great idea, especially because there are already other developers who used celebrities’ voices in their games and the fans bought them mostly because of this reason. And the GTA is a big budget game with a huge success, so Rockstar Games isn’t worried that it will lose a lot of money by making an important investment.
Unfortunately, Rockstar Games hasn’t confirmed yet if the next title will contain a female protagonist, but it is believed that the map will have the shape of the United States and will have many fictional locations.
