Microsoft Lumia 650 vs. HTC One M9 – Best Specs and Features Comparison

Today we will compare the Microsoft Lumia 650, which is a low-end smartphone released in February 2016 and which costs around $235 on Amazon, and the HTC One M9 flagship that came last year and which is $100 more expensive.

Designs

The Microsoft Lumia 650 measures 142×70.9×6.9mm and weights 122 grams. The device has a matte plastic back available in Black or White, a flat metal frame and rounded corners. On the other hand, the HTC One M9 is thicker and heavier, as it measures 144.6×69.7×9.6mm and weights 157 grams. Its aluminum back is slightly curved and has two slim lines that hide the radio antennas. The color options for this smartphone are Gunmetal Gray, Amber Gold, Silver/Rose gold, Gold/Pink and Pink.

Displays

The Microsoft Lumia 650 features an OLED display of 5-inch that supports a resolution of 1280×720 pixels at 297 ppi. The HTC One M9 comes with a super LCD3 display of 5-inch that supports a higher resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 441 ppi. Both displays are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Processors, Graphics Cards & RAM

The Microsoft Lumia 650 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.3GHz, an Adreno 304 graphics card and 1GB of RAM. The HTC One M9 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, a quad-core Cortex A57 CPU clocked at 2.0GHz and a quad-core Cortex A53 CPU clocked at 1.5GHz, an Adreno 430 graphics card and 3GB of RAM.

Storages

The Microsoft Lumia 650 has been released with an internal storage of 16GB which you can expand up 256GB using a microSD card. On the other hand, the HTC One M9 has an internal storage of 32GB, but you can expand it up to 256GB using a microSD card.

Cameras

The Microsoft Lumia 650 sports a primary camera of 8MP that features LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama and a secondary camera of 5MP. The HTC One M9 has a better primary camera of 20MP that features dual-LED flash, autofocus, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, HDR and a secondary camera of 4MP.

Batteries

The Microsoft Lumia 650 is powered by a removable battery of 2000 mAh, which is much weaker than the non-removable battery of 2840 mAh that the HTC One M9 has.
