If previously we’ve seen rumors suggesting that Rockstar Games has cancelled the development of the GTA 6 in order to focus more on the current GTA 5 game. Well, according to some new reports, it seems that the developer will actually release the GTA 6 in two years.
In concordance with ChristianDaily, the GTA 6 might be showcased sometime during the next E3 2017 event. However, the game will not be released next year, as many of you would hope and, instead, it will hit the stores in 2018. The reason why Rockstar Games is not rushing to release the next GTA installment is because the GTA 5 is still doing great and it is making a good amount of money everyday. In fact, the GTA 5 is still being sold very well on all platforms that it is available.
According to rumors, the GTA 6 will finally bring a female protagonist and the voice behind the character will be Eva Mendez. Unfortunately, Rockstar Games never confirmed this, but it is good to know that the company has reported in the past that a female character might be added in a future GTA game. It is believed that the GTA 6 will come with 4K feature and it will be supported by VR headsets.
On the other hand, according to iSports Times, the GTA 6 developed was canceled because Rockstar Games wants to release more DLCs and updates for the current GTA 5. In addition, there are also rumors which say that the company is actually working on Red Dead Redemption 2, which is also a well known title, as when the first version of the game was released it was a best seller.
Unfortunately, Rockstar Games hasn’t confirmed or denied any of these rumors, so we should take them with a bit of salt.
Do you think that the GTA 6 will be released in 2018 or it will take longer, until the next GTA installment will hit the stores?
