If you’re a fan of Grand Theft Auto, you’re probably wondering when GTA 6 would come out. There’s good news for you: this much-awaited game is now “available” in Brazil. The bad news is that it’s most likely a bootleg version.
Redditor NeetoPp posted a photo of a copy of “GTA SIX” that he reportedly found in Brazil. People on Reddit had a good laugh when they took a closer look at the cover, which featured actress Summer Glau along with several other characters. They also pointed out the fact that the game could run on a PlayStation 2, which was a novel idea since the latest GTA titles could no longer be played on this console. “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories”, which was released on 2006, was the last installment that could be played on PS2. Subsequent games — from 2008’s “Grand Theft Auto IV” to 2013’s “Grand Theft Auto V” — could only be played on PS3 and PS4 (as well as Xbox 360 and Xbox One).
Another clue that this isn’t the real deal: the text on the cover says “Grand Theft Auto” with a large “6” and the word “SIX”, but the Roman numeral beside these is “V”. Basic math taught us that “V” stands for “five” while “VI” stands for “six”, so something doesn’t quite add up here.
VG24/7 points out that “Grand Theft Auto V SIX 6” is probably a heavily modded version of “GTA: San Andreas”, which is great for die-hard fans of this game. Those who are eager to play GTA 6 can look forward to 2020 which, according to gaming experts, could be when Rockstar Games would release GTA 6. Currently, the developer is busy with “Red Dead Redemption 2”, which will reportedly be rolled out on Fall 2017 and might come with an online version just like GTA 5 Online.
