Thankfully for all the LG and smartwatches fans, now we have more than rumors to confirm the existence of the Nexus-like Watch Style product. And who other than Evan Blass would have leaked some images of the upcoming product? The photos he leaked belong to the budget version that LG should release sometime in the beginning of February.
This device, based on Android Wear 2.0, seems really promising: its design should look good, embedding a thin bezel (rose gold and silver, as shown in the pictures) and some leather straps that match and are easy to take off. They are quite thin, too, though this might be a trick for your eyes.
Even so, apparently they are not designed for athletic people since they don’t have any heart monitor on its bottom. However, this measure was anticipated by the fans, and most likely it’s a strategy to make people who really need this feature, among others, to head to the high-end Watch Sport product, which will also include cellular data and GPS.
The good part about this basic approach when it comes to specs is the price, as you might have expected. According to Android Police, the Watch Style will start at the price of $249. However, if there would be more color options, the price might increase. Under these circumstances, it’s not the cheapest Android product, but the price is quite affordable for whoever is interested only in the basics.
The photos are more than satisfactory, and all in all the products looks modern and fresh, with a touch of elegance. However, it will all depend on whether there will be several options for the color of the wrist band, case in which the design could also look sporty or more casual.
