It’s almost two years since the Apple company had released a new device in the iPad mini series. Fans of the company are now anxious to get their hands on the next tablet that will appear, and until then they keep circulating rumors and speculations about its specs.
As it seems, the next release will wear the title iPad mini 5, and it is rumored to be getting ready for a release in March. Even so, there are some doubts about it, and many people believe that it will receive a new title and it could be called instead the iPad Pro mini.
When it comes to the display, people speculate that it will have the same type of 7.9 inches, Retina screen as its predecessor. Despite this, the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and others said that there might be three versions: 9.7, 10.5 and 12.9 inches screens. It seems that it will have an aluminum chassis, so it will be durable, while at the same being lighter and thinner than the previous model. Also, it should be 5mm thick.
It will run on an A9 or A10 processor, but it could also have another M0 co-processor for motion tracking, together with 3 GB RAM. Moreover, it will have 3 options for internal storage: 32, 64 or 128 GB. As to the operating system, Apple is currently in the tests for an iOS 10.3 beta version. Most likely the tablet will not come with iOS 11.
The primary camera is an 8 MP one, while the front one should be 1.2 MP. The battery seems to be smaller than the iPad mini 4 one, even though we don’t know more about it until now. Additionally, it will also support 3D Touch and it will have an IP68 certification, which means it is water resistant.
