Until now, Rockstar Games has managed to generate one billion dollars in profit thanks to its GTA 5 game. We have to mention that this game has been released back in 2013 and it is currently still being played by many gamers all over the world. Keep in mind that the single player is quite dead, but the online platform is what keeps this game alive.
According to reports, over 75 million copies of GTA 5 have been sold until now and the number keeps growing as there are new gamers who’re just starting playing this game. We remind you that the GTA 5 can now be played on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC and this is the reason why the game is so popular.
There is no official information about the GTA 6 yet, but the fans are expecting the developing company to finally announce that it is already working on this title. Unfortunately, until now Rockstar Games prefers to stay mum regarding this title and we think that they are doing this because the GTA 5 is still sold very well.
GTA 6: Release Date
Some previous reports were suggesting that the GTA 6 will be released sometime in 2018, but this will most likely not happen. We remind you that Rockstar Games is a big company that’s working on more game franchises and it is NOT focusing only on GTA. Let’s not forget that the company will release “Red Dead Redemption 2” sometime in the fall of this year, which many fans are very excited about it.
Some new rumors are suggesting that once the “Red Dead Redemption 2” title will hit the stores, the developing company will start working on the GTA 6 title. There are high chances that this is true, but this means that we will need to wait a few more years until the title will be released. And since Sony and Microsoft has promised to launch the next-gen console during the upcoming years, Rockstar Games will most likely choose to wait for these products to get released first.
In other words, the GTA 6 will probably be one of the first titles that will be released for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Two.
