Obviously, Tesla is the leading company when it comes to all-electric cars. However, Tesla is focused more towards creating affordable sedans that appeal to the masses. This means that we need to wait until Tesla decides to create an SUV model before we can enjoy a luxury electric vehicle. Fortunately, it seems like Audi decided to step in and show Tesla how things are done.
All-Electric Audi E-Tron
Audi recently announced that it’s adding the finishing touches to a brand-new luxury SUV that’s going to feature an all-electric engine. In addition, the SUV goes by the name of E-Tron and things get even more interesting now that the SUV has been spotted on the road.
We should also mention that the reason why Audi is hurrying up with the production of E-Tron is because Mercedes Benz also announced that it wants to unveil a new all-electric SUV during the upcoming future.
Spy Shots
Even though the only thing we have right now are spy shots, they are still more than enough to give us an idea of what to expect. We already got to see concept picture of E-Tron in the past, but now we can finally see in its full glory.
The first thing that pops out is E-Tron’s geometric and narrow headlights which makes it seem like a Q7 model that came from the future. Nonetheless, the design looks sleek, but we need to disclaim that E-Tron is still in the testing phase and Audi is highly likely to introduce some major design changes before the SUV is officially unveiled.
All-Electric Engine
Audi’s brand-new SUV is expected to ship with a 95-kWh battery which is supposedly going to feature a 300 miles driving range. There will also be three power variants of the battery and their price will start at €60,000 for the standard 435 horsepower model.
