TNH Staff · January 3, 2016 · Leave a Comment

The third generation of Moto G is now receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update. Keep in mind that the update is being rolled out gradually, which means that you might receive the update sooner or later than others.

We also remind you that this update is currently rolled out in India only, but other countries will follow soon. So, if you live in India, we suggest you to go to Settings->About->Phone->System Update and see if there is an OTA update available for your Moto G (2015) device.

The update has around 2GB and comes with the version number 24.11.25.en.US and contains new features such as Doze mode to extend the battery life, Google Now on tap, simpler volume controller, app permissions and more. The update also contains some security patches that will make your device more secure than before.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update For The Samsung Galaxy S6 Will Bring Major Visual Changes In The App Icons

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow is expected to be released for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge devices this month.

Samsung has recently released a BETA version of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the two devices we’ve mentioned above. It seems that the biggest visual change that this new operating system will bring to the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge device is the way Samsung will be showing the app icon. Each application will be flat instead of a “shadowed” image from the current operating system. It seems that Samsung also redesigned some of its own icons too and it might also introduce an option to download new themes based on the color you like. Samsung has also added a new shutter speed option in the camera application called “Pro Mode”.

Galaxy S6 comes with a non-removable battery of 2550 mAh, which means that the device can’t stay alive for many hours. However, the Doze application that the Android 6.0 Marshmallow will fix this issue and it will greatly improve the battery life of your device.

Unfortunately, we’re not sure yet when the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update will be released for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. However, since there is already a BETA version of this new operating system available for both Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, we’re pretty sure that the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA update for the mentioned devices will be released in the upcoming weeks.
