According to the latest reports, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 device will come with many new features that will surely make many people to purchase it.
According to PhoneArena, the South Korean multinational conglomerate company headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul is planning to bring a bit more expensive Galaxy S7 device than expected. According to Evan Blass, a well-known tech tipster, Samsung will most likely release four Galaxy models in 2016.
The four Galaxy models that will be released in 2016 are: Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Plus.
According to reports, the increase of the price is due to the iris scanner that Samsung wants to bring on its future devices. PhoneArena said that the new feature will allow the users to unlock their handsets, verify their identities and make possible transactions by just staring at the scanner.
Unlike the fingerprint feature that’s currently found on many mobile devices, the iris scanner is considered to be more precise and it will be almost impossible for someone to use this feature if it is set for your eyes only.
Until now, Samsung hasn’t confirmed any of these rumors, but according to a new report from Reuters, the South Korean company will firstly bring this feature to the Galaxy S7 and its succeeding variants. The same report said that Samsung will most likely release about 5 millions Galaxy S7 units.
The Galaxy S7 will feature a 5.2-inch flat screen display and the Galaxy S7 Edge will come with a 5.5-inch curved-screen display. Samsung will release 3.3 million Galaxy S7 devices and about 1.7 million Galaxy S7 Edge handsets.
Samsung will most likely unveil its upcoming Galaxy S7 device during the “Samsung Unpacked 2016” event that will be held on February 21, 2016 just before the MWC Week that will be held in Barcelona, during 22-25 February, 2015.
