You might have already heard about Saints Row, which was first released in 2006. In fact, it became infamous due to criticisms of being a knock-off of the Grand Theft Auto game. However, it has proven to be a great game as it successfully made its sequel in 2008.
It even had a huge open world that players can explore with far more activities compared to its rival the GTA IV. Moreover, the game faced tough competition at first, but uses were able to understand that even when the game wasn’t that great, it offered an Open world experience that is even better than its rivals.
Not long after in 2011, the game was already on par with Rockstar, particularly on its game development, as Saints Row 3 was released. Nevertheless, the game went into pitfalls as it was not going very well with Volition, the game’s developer. With the release of Saints Row 4 in 2013, it rivaled that of GTA 5, which is the best of Rockstar.
Volition went all out with its latest installment and was able to add all the quirky elements in a fantasy shooter game. It even introduced aliens, mutants, and all other characters with superpowers, as the characters were able to control open world objects as they pleased.
Volition has also released Agents of Mayhem, which was supposedly the 5th installment of Saints Row. So fans, have been wondering when Volition will be able to release it. They even questioned why the Agents of Mayhem wasn’t just called Saints Row 5 instead.
Saints Row might have been under way considering it has entered development in 2015 or 2016. So the trailer might be released sometime in mid-2018 or early 2019. According to trusted sources, the open world genre of Saints Row would never die. So fans need not worry about the 5th installment. Undoubtedly, the fifth sequel should be released this year or early next year.
Some evidenxe would be nice. Saints Row is my life, I can’t build my hopes up to get a 5th installment just to have it crushed down again when nothing will be released after all 🙁
